What is the meaning and purpose for catheterization of women and men?

Catheterization is nowadays a commonly performed procedure during which a catheter is inserted through the urethra into the bladder. Bladder catheterization solves urinary tract patency problems.

There can be several reasons for the removal (and catheterization) of urine, the main one being the risk of infection when urine accumulates in the bladder. Catheterization is performed for example: after operations or with incontinence (urine leakage) and if it is a long-term or permanent solution, the catheter must be replaced regularly.

Why to choose urological women catheterization and urological men catheterization at ATODA Medical?

Penis catheterization differs from catheterization in women. At ATODA Medical, patients are always cared for by a team of excellent specialists and capacities in the field. They offer the highest quality care, they always dedicate 100% of their time to the patients and thanks to complex medical care under one roof, they may also provide follow-up care.

Patients at ATODA Medical especially appreciate the good transport accessibility, short waiting times and booking for exact time. We also cooperate with foreign insurance companies such as BUPA and CIGNA and we care for insured patients as well as for self-payers.

After years of extremely bad experience with doctors for children in Prague  - this clinic and our new doctor Ms MUDr. Agnieszka Podstolská is just a paradise. Very professional and kind approach, fast service, good communication in cz or English (!), willingness to help which seems to be hard to find elsewhere. Very clean and pleasant environment compared with places “for free” elsewhere where you find stinky packed little waiting rooms with rude staff, especially old school nurses who hate you for being a foreigner. Thank you all for being there for us every time needed!

I am very happy with Atoda, both of my kids are registered there since we have relocated back to Prague.
