Genital warts (condylomata) - are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), which is transmitted through the skin or sexual contact. They affect the skin and mucous membranes of the genital tract, around the anus, but also the lining of the vagina and cervix. 

Rarely, the disease can also occur on the larynx if it is contracted through oral contact. This disease is known as papillomatosis of the larynx - it is often manifested by hoarseness, breathing problems, loss of voice or a feeling of suffocation. If you develop warts around your genitals, they may not necessarily be condylomata. Many other diseases with different treatments also present with this symptom. For this reason, we recommend that you see a doctor first for a better and more accurate diagnosis. 

Our clinic now offers condylomata removal with the help of ablative laser in the dermatological (treatment of men) or gynaecological (treatment of women) surgery. The roughly 30-minute procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and it is a good idea not to sweat until the scabs are subsequently removed. We can manage to treat a small seedling in one visit, but larger nests need to undergo several treatments.
