Vasectomy is a surgical procedure that is used to permanently sterilize a man. A man's sperm after a vasectomy does not penetrate the ejaculate, so the man cannot impregnate the woman. During a vasectomy, the fallopian tubes that carry sperm from the testicles to the penis are ligated.
How does a vasectomy work?
The doctor makes a small incision on the scrotum to expose the fallopian tubes. These are then ligated and cut. The ends of the fallopian tubes are then closed, usually with coagulation or stitches.
The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic and takes approximately 20-30 minutes.
It is common to experience increased sensitivity after the procedure. There may also be swelling or a good hematoma (bruising) in the scrotal area. To avoid these effects, it is advisable to wear tight underwear for at least one week after the procedure.

Great service that is unparalleled in the healthcare industry.

So far we've had only good experiences with doctors at Atoda. The detmatologist was great and managed to treat a terrible infection and an endless eczema in our boy. The pediatrician is always very nice and a good listener, so is the GP and the gynegologist. All of them always caring and helpful when needed.
