Frequent urination at night in women, men and children - burning and pain

Excessive urination and difficulty urinating, also known as dysuria, are common health problems that negatively affect quality of life. The most common symptoms include:

  • burning urination in both men and women
  • or pain when urinating,
  • frequent urges to urinate,
  • feeling of not wetting,
  • pain in the lower abdomen,
  • cloudy or bloody urine,
  • weak or intermittent stream of urine
  • and an unpleasant smell of urine.

These symptoms can be associated with a variety of health problems that are important to identify and treat early.

Early diagnosis and treatment are key to preventing serious complications. A doctor can perform the necessary tests such as urinalysis, blood tests or bladder ultrasound to determine the exact cause of the problems and recommend appropriate treatment. So don't hesitate to make an appointment with us today.

At ATODA Medical we solve burning during and after urination

Do you experience burning after urination or pain in the urethra and bladder area? At ATODA Medical, we always deal with urination problems discreetly, offering comprehensive care and a professional approach to treating urological problems.

Our urogynaecology treats frequent bedwetting in women, while our urology treats frequent bedwetting in men. A chapter in itself is frequent urination in children, which the specialists at ATODA Medical can also help your children with. They use modern diagnostic methods and an individual approach to even the smallest patients (for boys under the age of ten, after a joint consultation) to ensure the most effective solution.

Symptoms include pain when urinating

Difficulty urinating is manifested in the urinary tract, which includes the urethra, bladder, ureters and kidneys. Symptoms of dysuria may include:

  • Burning or cutting when urinating: the most common and prominent symptom,
  • frequent nocturnal urination in women and frequent nocturnal urination in men: increased frequency of urination, often accompanied by a weak stream of urine or intermittent urination,
  • lower abdominal pain: unpleasant pain or pressure in the bladder area (often mistaken for inflammation of the bladder),
  • urination of blood or cloudy urine: changes in the colour of the urine that may indicate an infection or other problem,
  • unpleasant smell of urine: urine may have a strong and unpleasant smell.

Don't wait for your symptoms to get worse. If you have any problems with urination, please do not hesitate to contact us. Make an appointment at ATODA Medical, call us or write to us.

What causes pain and burning when peeing in men and women?

Pain when urinating in women and men is often caused by several triggers:

  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs): the most common cause, caused by bacteria, in which patients experience a burning sensation in the urethra,
  • sexually transmitted infections (STIs): diseases such as chlamydia or gonorrhoea can cause dysuria,
  • kidney stones: small stones can cause pain at the end of urination and other difficulties when urinating,
  • prostatitis: inflammation of the prostate gland in men that can cause painful urination,
  • interstitial cystitis: a chronic disease of the bladder that causes long-term pain and discomfort.

What happens when you ignore urinary problems

Untreated urination problems can lead to serious health complications such as:

  • Chronic infections: recurrent urinary tract infections can lead to permanent damage to the urinary tract, including urine leakage,
  • kidney damage: the infection can progress to the kidneys and cause pyelonephritis, a serious kidney disease,
  • sepsis: a serious systemic infection that can be life-threatening,
  • infertility: some STIs can lead to infertility if not treated in time.

Dr. Pavel Beno is an incredible professional, the others are also, although you pay, but it is worth it. You start to feel like a VIP when you arrive, it's about health, I will never let myself be treated elsewhere again. I'm looking forward to the check-up, Mr. ex-primary is a capacity,I recommend it to everyone and honestly,I've experienced a lot of hospitals where they treat you as if you're bothering them.

My only regret is that I didn't sign up for a membership years ago! From the very first meeting with my GP (which was 90 minutes and she was really listening, nothing felt rushed) I have had really positive encounters with all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Atoda. They really do their best to make you feel comfortable and cared for. They take a holistic look at your health, the information is shared between doctors, and you can choose to see a specialist within the clinic or get a referral to another doctor where you insurance would cover so it's very flexible to your needs and budget. Most of all it just took all the stress out of visiting doctors and turned it into a pleasant and caring experience. Highly recommend.
